getting around
Thirty-three is located in the heart of Jericho, a thriving community, with trendy bars, independent retailers and restaurants, just a short walk from Oxford’s city centre.
Within a five minute walk is Port Meadow, a conservation area, where it is possible to stroll up side of the river to have a meal or a drink at The Perch or The Trout pubs. Ten minutes walk in the other direction will bring you to University Parks, with its beautiful playing fields.
Oxford City Centre boasts fantastic shops, including the new Westgate Shopping Centre, as well as world famous Museums - check out the Ashmolean for Art and Antiquities or the Natural Science Museum with its collection of dinosaur fossils. Oxford is steeped in history - have a look at the Martyrs’ Memorial near the famous Randolph Hotel, or take a peek into the Colleges, admire the Hertford Bridge (the “Bridge of Sighs”) or the Radcliffe Camera, which also feature in some of the artwork in the house.
A six mile drive north of Oxford brings you to Blenheim Palace - one of the most spectacular buildings in England. The view of the building as you walk around the landscaped lake up to the Palace is simply stunning.
Oxford is a small city and most places are a short walk from the house. The bus station is on George Street and it is possible to get a bus to the surrounding areas, as well as London and several airports. The main train station on New Road will give you access to London in around an hour.
We look forward to welcoming you.
